How this study works?

These suggestions will help you to decrease your carbon footprint. Actions matter!

By eating meat just once or twice a week you can reduce your carbon footprint up to 1 tCO₂e each year!

Eat less meat

Emissions from producing a new car can be more than 10 tCO₂e. Direct emissions of average driving (14000km/year) are almost 4 tCO₂e/year so living car free reduces your carbon footprint a lot!

No vehicle, great!

You can try reducing the number of flights you take by shifting to other travel modes or avoiding unnecessary trips. You can also support policies aiming to increase the aviation taxes.

Reduce flying

Great that you didn’t fly at all in preceding 12 months. One return flight from Stockholm to Bangkok is around 4,5 tCO₂e!

You can decrease your carbon footprint by flying less. One return flight from Stockholm to Bangkok is around 4,5 tCO₂e!

You can decrease your carbon footprint by reducing the amount of the goods you buy. If you want to make a bigger change, you can support laws that prohibit 'planned obsolescence'.

If you want to make a bigger change, support policies to reduce the use of fossil fuels in electric energy and heat production in your country.

You can decrease your carbon footprint by driving less and shifting to public transportation, walking, or cycling. Driving just 10km a day can cause around 1 tCO₂e/year.

Reduce driving

An electric car can save even 3 tCO₂e and a bio fuel car 1,5 tCO₂e of driving emissions, compared to a gasoline car (14000km/year). Although, the emissions from producing a new car can be around 10 tCO₂e.
